New Year’s Eve Celebration
December 31, 2008
, 2008
One Arts Plaza will ring in the New Year with outdoor plaza entertainment and a countdown from its illuminated iconic square, including a multi-color light celebration at the stroke of midnight.
One Arts guests and restaurant patrons can enjoy the musical styling of Percussion Things, led by Len Barnett, from 8:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. in the plaza. Beginning at 11:00 p.m. the six-story lighted square, comprised of 300 LED light modules, will go black before converting to a clock to count down the final hour of 2008. As each minute passes, a single light representing the minute will be added until the entire square is illuminated at midnight. As revelers usher in the New Year, the custom light display will flash multiple colors for a spectacular "firework-inspired" display.
