Boodong, says:
I went to see Ella at the DTC opening week. I have been to many events downtown and actually love this theatre. My wife is a huge Ella fan as am myself. I must say that I was pleasantly suprised by the quality of this production as well as the music. She had such a distinctive voice and sound that it could be easy to butcher something like this.
We are actually taking the in-laws next weekend to give them a bit of "culture". Also makes it a bit easier finding tickets (half price for all you bargain shoppers) on stubdog.com that way we can impress our guests with theatre tix.
How about Billy Holiday next?
