Teen Summit - ‘Step into the Spotlight…Showcase Your Talent’
February 23, 2008
Hosted by Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwaine Caraway, KBFB 97.9 The Beat, and the Miss Dallas Scholarship Organization, the event will feature representatives from the modeling, acting, pageant, advertising and record industries.
Launched in July 2007 by Mr. Caraway, this is the first Teen Summit held outside of City Hall. The monthly Teen Summits are intended to give teens a platform to discuss important issues such as crime, drug abuse, education and self responsibility. The goal is to help young people develop greater self-esteem, confidence and leadership skills.
