Description
Following the successful adoption by the City Council of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to solicit input from the building industry, a Green Building Task Force was formed. The Task Force’s recommendations for “the components of the green building program, including the standards for “green” construction in Dallas, educational programs for the building industry, and a realistic implementation schedule that is based upon building industry input, allowing for a smooth transition to green building practices” will be presented at both of these public forums. The City and the Task Force are seeking input from the public on this proposed Green Building Program for the private sector. Final recommendations will be presented to the Dallas City Council on March 5, 2008.
