Well, that wasn't as bad as it could have been I guess. Is it a little low-rent that they left up the same spare Midway from the July 4th "Fiesta"? I'm voting "Yes".
Soul Asylum was good, if you're okay with washed-out bands acting like they're as cool as they were 10+ years ago.
This event is just a little sad, compared with "Taste Addison", given the somewhat larger has-been bands that Addison attracts. But who am I to critique - I guess to be a has-been, you have to have 'been', right? Or somesuch.
Anyway, lots of apartments going up in this area, so maybe these events will get a little bigger over the next few years. Either way, it's good to see D keep plugging away at these events.
