Let Them Eat Cake

Wedding cake contest features local pastry chefs and tablescapes by NorthPark retailers. Located on Level One between Neiman Marcus and Oscar de la Renta.

10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wedding Cake Decorating Competition:

10 a.m. - 8 p.m Raffle Tickets on Sale

NorthPark shoppers may vote for their favorite cake with the purchase of a raffle ticket:

• Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20
• Tickets are sold at the competition site and in NorthCourt
• With the purchase of 5 raffle tickets, spectators are invited to the Cake Café, between Montblanc and Kenneth Cole, to enjoy complimentary cake samples and Cavallini Coffee
• Plasma screen TVs around the cake displays and raffle ticket purchase areas will air competition footage
• Proceeds benefit Les Dames D'Escoffier's Scholarship Endowments
• The popular vote cake winner will be announced Sunday, June 8 at 3 p.m. Raffle ticket holders who voted for the winner of the popular vote will be entered into a same-day prize drawing, featuring one grand prize winner and a second and third place winner

6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Cake Mixer, invitation-only reception

Unveiling of completed wedding cakes on tablescapes designed by select NorthPark retailers

6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Judge's Winner Announced

Cakes will be judged by a panel of guest judges, featuring:

• Alice Medrich, celebrated chocolatier and culinary author
• W. Donnie Brown, wedding event specialist and TV talent
• Bronwen Weber, Frosted Arts Executive Pastry Chef and TV Talent
