Description
Precious Metal Clay is new to the Creative Arts Center of Dallas. Containing particles of pure silver, water and a binder, the process is ceramic, but the outcome is some of the most stunning jewelry you will find. The clay can be molded by hand, with tools or by pressing it into a mold. It is then fired in an electric kiln transforming it into a solid silver object. The fired piece can be soldered and otherwise treated as manufactured metal. Spend the morning fusing clear and dichroic glass to create beautiful glass cabochons. In the afternoon combine one or more of these cabochons with PMC to create beautiful ready to wear jewelry. Please bring a sack lunch.
$125 Members ($155 Non-Members) $50 Materials Fee.
