United Nations’ International Day in Support of Victims of Torture
June 26, 2008
, 2008
The theme for this year's celebration is "Let's Erase Torture," as decided by the International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims (irct.org). We will hold an open house in honor of our clients with entertainment, ethnic foods from around the world, and lots of fun.
June 26th commemorates both the date that the Convention against Torture came into effect and the signing of the United Nations Charter. As always, you are invited to bring food from your home country to share and enjoy.
