Jazz pianist Jerry Samuels holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Cincinnati Conservatory and a Masters degree in Music from the University of North Texas. Currently the pianist for the Brookhaven College Vocal Jazz Ensemble, he has toured with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, played with Lionel Hampton and Gene Krupa and has appeared on the Merv Griffin Show. His performance tonight includes selected compositions of Clare Fischer - works with a clear Brazilian-Latin jazz influence as well as his own compositions featured on his CD Sounds of Samuels.
