Description
Relive the poignant story of a 17th century violinmaker whose finest instrument is a violin dyed red by his deceased wife's blood. DSO Concertmaster Emanuel Borok solos. Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 22 with pianist Jonathan Biss and Mendelssohn's atmospheric Scottish Symphony cap off the evening. Conductor Douglas Boyd makes his DSO debut.
