Visitors to the Preview Center will have an opportunity to learn more about what is happening just blocks away at the construction site for the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, a new multi- venue arts and entertainment center for music, opera, theatre and dance opening in 2009. Currently on view at the Preview Center are models constructed by the architects of the primary venues of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts: the Winspear Opera House designed by architects Foster + Partners, the Wyly Theatre co-designed by Rem Koolhaas and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) and Joshua Prince- Ramus and Ramus Ella Architects (REX), and Performance Park designed by landscape architect Michel Desvigne of Paris in collaboration with JJR of Chicago.

Redefining the Disfranchised: The Political Art of Nina Allender As we continue to celebrate the 88th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote, there's a prime opportunity to view influential art from the era. Nina Evans Allender drew political cartoons for The Suffragist from 1914 into the 1920s, transforming stereotypical views of who a suffragist was. Over the years, Allender contributed more than 250 political cartoons to the movement, a number of which are on display at the Women's Museum at Fair Park. More info
