Experience Greater Dallas is a leadership development program aimed at updating busy professionals on critical regional issues, including healthcare, public education, economic development and power & politics, among others. Experience Greater Dallas provides access to key leaders and information while offering a unique and intensive professional development opportunity. Participants will take away a better understanding of the greater Dallas area and its needs and will be challenged to serve and strengthen the community. This program is a three part series, during the months of April and May.
Foundation – April 25
Held at the Greater Dallas Chamber Conference Center 700 N. Pearl Street, 12th Floor Parking Garage Tower
Dallas is a dynamic city with a fascinating history and a promising future. This session will focus on the people and places that made the region what it is today, along with predictions for what the future of our area holds, including growing industries, business opportunities and changing demographics. Topics include History of Dallas, DFW 101, and Power & Politics in Texas.
Critical Elements – May 1
Held at Park City Club, 5956 Sherry Lane, 17th Floor
The future of the Dallas region hinges on the building blocks of Education, Healthcare and Public Safety. These issues contribute to the success and vitality of the region, promote new business, and ensure a future in the global economy. Producing a quality workforce, fighting challenges such as the uninsured and learning the factors that contribute to the crime rate will be covered at this session.
Development – May 9
Held at Center for the Performing Arts, Preview Center-Trammell Crow Center, 2001 Ross Ave.
With projects including the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts, Trinity River Project and DART development, Dallas is primed to be a world-class city with endless options for arts, entertainment and outdoor adventure. A panel of experts will discuss details of each project, current progress and insight on what these developments mean for Dallas and the future of the region.
Speakers for the series include: Rose-Mary Rumbley, author & Dallas historian; Bill Lively, president & CEO, Dallas Center for the Performing Arts Foundation; Jack Lowe, president, Dallas ISD Board of Trustees; Professor Harold Stanley, Southern Methodist University; Dr. Lyssa Jenkens, chief economist, Greater Dallas Chamber, and more!
Experience Greater Dallas is scheduled for April 25, May 1 and May 9, with all sessions are from 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM. Participants can select to attend 2 days at $175 Chamber members/$225 Prospective members, or 3 days (full series) at $250 Chamber members/$300 Prospective members.
