High School Playwriting Project

A panel of four judges read all the anonymously submitted short plays and selected twenty plays they felt would best qualify for a public staged reading by experienced actors. They then picked the four finalist and three semi-finalist scripts for the public stage reading at Circle.

- Coffee Talk by Tim Jablonski of Nolan Catholic High School (Teacher: Abby Rosenthal)
- The Odyssey Parody Book: 2,019 by Tyler Moore of Fort Worth Country Day School (Teacher: Melodee Halbach)
- An Ode to the Joy of Desire co-written by Christopher Yoli and Robert Lewis Miesen of Carroll Senior High School (Teachers: Stacie Martinsen and Roald Martinsen)
- The Family Man co-written by Patrick Chester and David Torrence of Haltom High School (Teacher: Renee Norris)
- Perchance to Dream by Kendelle Tekstar of Fort Worth Country Day School (Teacher: Melodee Halbach)
- Chris and Jenny by Caroline Reyes of Fort Worth Country Day School (Teacher: David Berthold)
