Description
Regional premiere of Philadelphia playwright Greg Romero’s play. The piece is an engaging nontraditional theatrical romance that begins with a Man and a Woman. They each breathe in the possibility of a blank sheet of paper. The paper becomes a sailboat and their breath becomes a journey over impossible distances. Lullaby is a hilarious, touching, meta-theatrical exploration of what is inside the human heart when a person falls in love with another equally and beautifully broken individual.

The Beach Boys with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Beach Boy trivia: Though surfing was a prominent theme in many of the Beach Boys' early songs, Dennis Wilson was the only original member who surfed. "Kokomo" was the Beach Boys' first hit in 20 years and ended up being their biggest selling single. Paul McCartney once said that "God Only Knows" was the most beautiful pop song ever written. Brad McEntire (Audacity) does some of the wildest stuff you'll watch, sometimes even worth stealing. (With his blessing, we adapted our One Day Only projects from his original concept)
I also love Greg Romero's writing. In one of the early Audacity/Rover One Day Only projects he wrote a brilliant metaphorical piece that eventually captured an Honorable Mention in the Louisville One Act Play Festival. Six actors, three wristwatches and a sheet - and absolutely riveting.
With this pedigree, I don't think it's too far a stretch to assume this event will be beautiful, bizarre and worth every femtosecond of your time and interest.
