The 2008 Golf Classic will be held on May 12 at the Dallas Athletic Club. The Chamber's tournament will begin at 10 AM with registration, followed by a putting contest at 10:30 AM and a shotgun start at 11:30 AM. The format is a shotgun-scramble, with first, second and third place teams on each of the two courses receiving awards.
The annual event includes a $10,000 putting contest, sponsored by Jay Novacek & Associates, a $5,000 hole-in-one contest, a silent auction and an awards dinner. Included in the silent auction is a four-day, three-night Royal Caribbean Cruise including airfare (donated by Wyndham Jade), and a round of golf for four, including carts, at TPC Craig Ranch.
New for the 2008 Golf Classic is an open evening networking opportunity for those who did not play golf. This event will begin at 4:30 p.m., and will include networking, silent auction bidding and dinner, and will conclude following the presentation of the awards and silent auction. The cost for this portion of the event is $40 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members, price including dinner.
