Description
Dean Austin is originally from Oakland, Ca. and now resides in Los Angeles. He has a rapid-fire comedy style, which leaves audiences on the floor. He’s always said, "Without laughter...there’s no happiness". Before becoming a comedian Dean worked in the medical field for several years and attended Hayward State University in the Bay Area where he was biology major. Once asked by a newspaper reporter how he got into comedy, he replied, “I didn’t get into comedy, comedy got into me!” After a high school friend dared him to get on stage he drifted away from medicine and ended up working in another field of medicine, laughter!!! The same passion he puts into working out shows in his performances. He has appeared on several TV shows and performs Colleges, Cruise Ships and Clubs all over.
Dean started performing comedy in 1990 at a local comedy club in San Francisco. Since then he’s performed throughout the United States and overseas for the Troops in Japan, England, Iceland, Germany, Korea, several other countries. He just returned from a tour in Iraq! Dean has been seen on BET “Comic View”, Showtime at the Apollo, Uptown Comedy Club, Latino Laugh Festival, Loco Comedy Jam and has made several other TV appearances. You can listen to his comedy on Sirius Satellite Radio. Dean’s hit comedy CD; “FUNNY WORLDWIDE” is now released!!!
