The Highland Park Chorale will present INSPIRE, a concert of great choral music at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, May 18 in Horchow Hall of the Dallas Museum of Art.
The 24-voice Professional Chamber Choir will perform compositions including: Benjamin Britten’s Hymn to St. Cecilia, Aaron Copland’s In the Beginning, Tarik O’Regan’s Magnificat, motets of Anton Bruckner, and a collection of spirituals by Alice Parker, Damon Dandridge, and Moses Hogan.
Oliver Schlaffer of Plano is the featured cellist for Magnificat. Carol Ann Manzi of Santa Barbara, CA, will join the Chorale as special guest soloist for the concert.
