Description
The 24 Hour Video Race is a fun competition hosted by The Video Association of Dallas. The race challenges film makers to write, shoot, edit and score an original short film in 24 hours. The teams must use a predetermined theme, prop, location and line of dialogue. This year's theme was, "a twist of fate."
The filming took place May 17. Filming ended at 12:03 a.m., with 64 of the 96 teams entered in the competition finishing on time. These 64 teams' films will all be screened and eligible to collect awards. A panel of judges will determine which films are worthy of winning the competition. Pegasus's own, John Meyer will serve as one of the judges for the competition.
All the films are 5 minutes or less. Tickets are cheap too. Adult tickets are $5; children 12 and under get a two dollar discount. Screenings will be held May 20-22, with the finals showing on May 27.

If you have never been to watch the screenings you should go. Some of the films (umm I mean videos, nobody does this with actual film excepot the Guts and Glory competition, which is just insane) people create in 24 hours with the given criteria are pretty creative.
I was on a team the last two years and had a blast! Unfortunatley, I wasn't able to participate this year. It is a really tiring, but fun experience. Go support your local film makers!
