Description
The 2008 Fort Worth Opera Festival will include ancillary events along with opera performances. The Festival repertoire includes Donizetti’s opera Lucia Di Lammermoor, based on a novel by Sir Walter Scott. Lucia’s brother has arranged a marriage, but she wants to marry someone else. Elizabeth Futral is Lucia and Stephen Costello is Edgardo. Both have performed these roles at the Metropolitan Opera. The wealth of dramatic music makes it appealing to modern musical theatre audiences, as well as the most devoted opera fan.
