The Sammons Center for the Arts will present an evening of live jazz entertainment – “Remembering Marchel Ivery” with The Marchel Ivery Tribute Band led by drummer Andrew Griffith. He will be joined by several artists who played with Marchel including Shelley Carol on saxophones, James Gilyard and Lyles West alternating on bass, and Kelly Durbin who will alternate with Roger Boykin on piano. Marchel Ivery passed away last year in October but his legacy lives on in those who played with him and those who loved his music.
