In each of four separate Arts District venues – different from the Focus Forum venues – approximately 25 participants will gather with each Festival team to continue the discussions of Focus Forums. These are true seminar sessions with the expert panelists and the participants jointly drilling down further to mine new ideas that have been struck during the day.
“Global Issues and their Local Impact”: Nicholas Kristof, with Lee Cullum and Dr. James Hollifield, moderated by Krys Boyd
Nicholas Kristof is an Op-ed columnist for The New York Times. He has lived on four continents, reported on six, and traveled to 140 countries, every Chinese province and every main Japanese island. Widely recognized for his involvement in the Sudan crisis, he is writing a book about women in the developing world.
Lee Cullum is a journalist and television commentator. A Fellow of the Dallas Institute, she is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and other international groups and hosts the KERA series "CEO."
Dr. James Hollifield is an SMU Professor of International Political Economy and Director of the John G. Tower Center for Political Studies. He has worked as consultant for numerous international organizations.
Krys Boyd is host and Managing Editor of "Think", KERA’s mid-day talk show. she formerly served as producer and co-host of the Emmy Award winning public affairs program "On The Record."

Global impact, is it here, and then again, it was 15 years ago..... have you ever lived in an Almish Community, kind of weird, then later on I felt much better , no more toxins of course, they read the St James 24 hours a day...when I go back to the city, I was sick again...A.T, ....Former Almish Student.
