Description

Adapted and directed by Thomas Riccio.This is an adaptation of the play from the influential 1920s German film written by Hans Janowitz and Carl Mayer.

In a small village, Francis and his friend Alan visit a carnival where they meet Dr. Caligari and the somnambulist Cesare, who can supposedly divine the future. His curiosity piqued by the large number of murders around town, Alan asks Cesare how long he has to live. Cesare tells him he will die at dawn. When this prophecy comes true, Francis and his girlfriend Jane start investigating Dr. Caligari and Cesare. During their research, they learn “Caligari” is the director of an insane asylum, obsessed with the story of a medieval Dr. Caligari, who used a somnambulist to murder people as a traveling act, however not everything is as it seems.

Free for all and donations will be accepted for the Bryce Jordan Scholarship Fund for the Arts.

this seems like a great deal, and probably is if you can actually get in...they run a waitlist after all seats are sold...and note this is not free to the general public only to students...the waitlist is not opened until 30 minutes prior to the show, which means show up and hope...but sounds like wait list runs pretty long...anyone else have experience with this?

The show is indeed free for everyone, student or non-student...and no waitlists. Two shows a night so if you come at 8pm and you can't get in there is another show at 9pm. Come to the 8pm there are fair acts in the lobby and that's a lot of fun. Then during the show you can go on stage and explore the set as the show is going on, pretty cool and a lot of fun with much video, and closed circuit television, great lighting and music. It was even scary at times.
