Lone Star Film Festival - Rachel: A Perfect Life
November 13, 2008
, 2008
Run time: 90 min. | Austrailia
Rachel, a single mother with a resilient will, has faced many problems in her life. Among these, it’s her epilepsy, which causes severe seizures and prohibits her from living a normal life, that she cannot live with anymore. This observational documentary follows her through the assessment process and subsequent brain surgery, with many emotional ups and downs along the way. Fiona Cochrane’s first feature film is an expertly observed chronicling of a charg young woman and a life changing procedure that celebrates the miracle of medical science as well as that of the human condition.
