Lone Star Film Festival - They Came to Play
November 16, 2008
Run time: 90 min. | USA
THEY CAME TO PLAY celebrates the joy of classical music with humor and drama. Several talented amateur pianists strive to balance their work, home and musical lives, as they prepare to compete in the International Amateur Piano Competition for Outstanding Amateurs, hosted by the Van Cliburn Foundation in Fort Worth, Texas. Before a distinguished jury and a discerning audience, these inspiring individuals endeavor to perform at near-professional levels in three highly competitive elimination rounds.
