Dallas Wind Symphony - Americans We
November 18, 2008
, 2008
It's election time, so we're celebrating that other great American tradition... the Windband. Everything on this program was penned by a composer born right here in the good ol' U-S-of-A. You'll hear music from the legendary Leonard Bernstein, Texas native Fisher Tull, and songs from a couple of guys named Mort. It's a salute to all-American, homegrown talent. USA! USA!
Fanfare: Fanfare Valor — Michael Cortes (San Antonio, Texas)
Steven Bryant — Stampede
Morton Gould — American Salute
Morton Lauridsen — Ave Maria
Fisher Tull — Rhapsody
Leonard Bernstein — Suite from On The Waterfront
Ron Nelson — Passacaglia on B-A-C-H
