An Introduction to the MS-13 Street Gang

The MS-13 or Mara Salvatruchas is a Salvadoran street gang that emerged in the 1980's in Los Angeles, California before spreading across the United States and back to El Salvador. In this presentation we explore the Salvadorean origins of MS-13 and what factore have made it migrate back to Central America. We also tackle the question of why young people join gangs.
