34th Annual Richland College Turkey Trot

This year, Richland College’s 34th annual Intramural Turkey Trot will help raise funds for the Renewed Hope Foundation, a Dallas-based group whose mission to is fight poverty, famine and illiteracy and to provide clean drinking water and electricity in rural Kenya.

The two-mile run/three-mile walk starts at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 behind the Richland College Gym (eastside of campus, Walnut Street entrance). Onsite registration begins at 11:45 a.m. It’s free to run/walk in the Turkey Trot, but participants can make a donation to the Kenya relief effort, suggested at $5 per DCCCD student and $10 for all others. The first 25 people to register will receive a free T-shirt and the next 25 will receive a free Thunderduck sports visor.

In addition to raising funds for Renewed Hope, the event also will benefit DCCCD students. The student who raises the most money in race sponsors will win a DCCCD tuition scholarship up to $500.
