The pedal-to-the-metal program includes performances of Michael Daugherty’s Motown Metal, Bradley Bodine’s Concerto for Marimba and Wind Orchestra, featuring Meadows faculty member Drew Lang as soloist, Olivier Messiaen’s Oiseaux Exotiques, Gunther Schuller’s Blue Dawn into White Heat, and John Adams’ classic A Short Ride on a Fast Machine.
