Description

Greed and prejudice tell the story of The Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare's suspenseful, dark comedy. In Venice, Bassanio asks the merchant Antonio for a loan which Antonio must borrow from the moneylender Shylock. While Bassanio is facing certain death, he must rely on his friends to save him from Shylock's revengeful demand of "a pound of flesh."

October 1 – 5 & 8 – 11 at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre. October 15 – 19 at Addison Circle Park. October 24 – 26 at The University of North Texas.

Admission for Samuell-Grand performances: Fri. & Sat.: $10 adults/$7 seniors and students. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays: $10 donation requested. Children 12 and under are free.

Yea it could be true,pound per pound and flesh per reader digest, it might be great bar b que, while the Merchant of Venice is one of my favorite written works,and if you have a good attorney to prove your boat of goods did not sink off shore of course, then again, this is good theater for Dallas, and so enjoy it.. And I will say this one more time, this is a good play,event, drama without Alphonso Pachino, who by the way, was the Merchant, cast in the film version......until then Alexander Troup, stage/hand.
