Opening Reception - Adriana Carvalho
October 4, 2008
, 2008
Brazilian born artist Adriana Carvalho comes to Dallas by way of Miami. Her unique style and subject matter are delicate works made with ordinary household or industrial items such as steel wool, aluminum, brass wire, and spikes. Carvahlo inventively explores the preconceived roles of women in our culture and the fragile balance between nurturer and heroine.
