The Dallas-based non-profit organization BDF Homeworks Foundation is proud to announce the 9th Annual BDF Homeworks Fall Classic Golf and Tennis Tournament benefiting three worthwhile local charities for women and children in need.

This year’s tournament will be held October 13, 2008, at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, with proceeds benefiting Dallas Junior Forum, Hope’s Door, and KICKSTART. The Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event is Hollywood actress Sheree Wilson, who starred as April Stevens in the hit television series “Dallas” and also appeared as Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill in the popular Texas-based TV show “Walker, Texas Ranger.”

BDF Homeworks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed in 2007 by the partners of the Dallas-based law firm Barrett Daffin Frappier Turner & Engel, LLP, to improve the lives of local children and families. BDF Homeworks supports many local and national charities by contributing funding, volunteering hours, and directing activities that benefit the community.

Dallas Junior Forum is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing assistance to children, families in crisis, and the elderly. With annual volunteer hours topping the 11,000 mark, Dallas Junior Forum has received numerous awards for its community service for more than 30 years.

Hope's Door is a shelter and counseling center for victims of domestic abuse in Collin County and surrounding areas. Hope’s Door provides emergency shelter for victims, crisis counseling for individual and groups, and community education and intervention programs.

KICKSTART is a Middle/Junior High school program that creates strong moral character in teens through martial arts. Founded in 1990 by Chuck Norris with the help of former President George H.W. Bush, KICKSTART provides a positive alternative to drug and gang-related peer pressure for at-risk youth. KICKSTART is the only prevention program in Dallas offered as part of the daily public school curriculum.
