Description
October 18 & 19.
Texture brings drama, dimensionality and interest to a mosaic. It is introduced to a mosaic by incorporating different types of materials of varying sizes and types. This hand-on workshop begins with a short lecture and demonstration and teaches participants all about texture through creation of a mirror frame. Students learn about adding an almost sculptural quality to their mosaic and are encouraged to bring fun and meaningful items of their own to include in their creations. Small rocks and pebbles, glass, ceramics, shells, 3-D objects such as figurines or special mementos all work great. Materials Note: A small IKEA mirror or frame, tile, adhesives and grout will be provided.
$95 Members ($125 Non-Members) $20 Materials Fee.
