“Top Chef’s” Cook up Change
October 23, 2008
, 2008
Former “Top Chef” competitors and Dallas-area natives Casey Thompson and Tre Wilcox will compete once again, but this time to assist families in need as they participate in a cook-off to benefit the Dallas Furniture Bank (DFB). This local non-profit organization provides basic household furnishings to families and individuals who are transitioning out of homelessness or whom are otherwise in need of basic furniture. This year’s cook-off is set to take place Thursday, October 23, 2008, at 7 p.m. in the Triniti Room of Dallas’ exclusive Tower Club.
Proceeds from the ticket sales and money raised during the silent auction will be used in the continued support of the organization. The event is open to the public. For information on where to purchase tickets, please call 972.466.0600 or visit the website.
Since 2003, Dallas Furniture Bank has provided furniture for over 1,300 families, positively impacting the lives of 5,200 individuals. DFB partners with social service agencies in the Dallas area to provide critically needed services.
