Description

A set of six short plays by Dan Dietz. Dietz says they are "'trash anthems' in the sense that they're my songs to beloved losers from across time and social strata.... The woman whose methamphetamine addiction has forced her to take a job involving indecent exposure. The men who drop an atomic bomb on their friends in the name of patriotism. The woman who unloads a shotgun into her boyfriend in the name of love..... And Superman. These are just some of the characters collected into this single evening of short plays. They're all down on their luck. They're all facing catastrophe. And I think that's why their stories appeal to me. Oh yeah: and they're funny." -- Austinist

Norma Jean / Haste The Day / The Showdown / MyChildren MyBride / Children 18:3 Granted, you probably have to wear your tight jeans to gain entry to this show, but at least it's for Norma Jean. If you occasionally have the hankering for unbridled screaming set to a beat, this Atlanta quintet is your band. Basically, they're the band all the little screamo kids wish they were. Beware: the teenagers own Deep Ellum tonight. More info
