Gwen DuVal, says:
If you are considering, buy a ticket, it's well worth it!
I saw Emmanual Ax 15 years ago, and the only difference I saw or hear last night was his hair is now grey. Every note was crisp, singing and emotive...the best of Mozart with a pianist who loves Mozart as much as the rest of us.
And for the Mahler, at points the entire audience quit breathing to match the orchestra...powerful, brassy, explosive, everything you expect and want from Mahler.
Welcome to Dallas Maestro van Zweden !
