Gahh! That is the most un-Joan Osborne song ever. I can't even count the number of times I have gone hoarse from singing along to Right Hand Man or Pensacola. I really need to catch up on what she has done lately. Thanks for the prompt!

Good shows by both artists! Small crowd at Nokia last night (but it was easy to get in and out of the parking lot!).Joan Osborne played around one hour with John Hiatt playing toll after 11:00PM. Some of her stuff made me sleepy, but the majority we pretty good. Hiatt started with a number of new songs from Same Old Man after opening with Perfectly Good Guitar. And yeah he did a bunch of his better known stuff including the ones listed in the videos above. The band was more scaled back than the last time I saw him with the North Mississippi All-Stars at the Gypsy Tea Room. I also noticed no keyboards for John or anyone else and no one else sang backup vocals. Another observation for what is worth (2 cents?) John did not play as much electric guitar. Still a good show if you like John Hiatt like I do. Thank God The Tiki Bar Is Open!

I thought Joan was amazing! Her voice is so incredibly powerful and yet remains pitch perfect. The best part is that my daughter, who I tortured in her youth with my Relish cd, was completely blown away. Joan Osborne has a new fan! It was just a shame that the crowd was so light.
We tried to hang in there for John Hiatt but after listening to the first few songs realized we didn’t get it. Probably an acquired taste.
Thanks again for the tickets!
