Memoryware Mosaic Workshop with Katrina Doran
September 21, 2008
, 2008
Memoryware mosaic was a popular form of American folk art in the early 1900s. Bottles, jars and vases were covered with putty or cement, broken china, keys, nuts, rocks, buttons, toys or other objects familiar to a person. In this workshop you can create a piece of memoryware to honor a loved one, to celebrate an anniversary or to remember one who has passed on. Bring bits and pieces of things that remind you of the person, place or thing you wish to commemorate of just show up and find what you need and create! Please bring a lunch.
