Dallas Wind Symphony - Globetrotters
September 23, 2008
Opening night is a whirlwind tour of the globe led by some well-traveled composers. Our trip begins in eastern Europe with Friedmann's Slavonic Rhapsody, and makes a few stops in France with works by Poulenc and Faure. Then, after a layover in the good ol' USA with Ron Nelson, we close with that international fave: Mossurgsky's sensational Pictures at an Exhibition.
Carl Friedmann — Slavonic Rhapsody
Francis Poulenc — March Militaire Francaise
Gabriel Faure — Chant Funeraire
Modeste Mussorgsky — Pictures at an Exhibition
