Meet the Artist: Gray Shepard
April 2
Gray Shepard, a native Texan who has lived and painted in Santa Fe, New Mexico, San Juan Capistrano, California and the San Juan Islands of Washington State has recently moved to Dallas.
Gray is best known for his works on the viewer-kinetic art form called an articulator, an accordion pleated structure, which combines two distinct paintings into one. He also paints on wood panels, combining materials such as fabrics, lace, papers, ribbon, hand made elements, and acrylic paints to create an elaborate backdrop for his animal and goddess pieces.
Cafe Izmir will debut Mr. Shepard's works during the month of April in a one man show.
