Planetarium Show
April 3
, 2009
See the stars at the Richland College Planetarium. On April 3, the free family-friendly show and activity focus on the Moon, Earth's only natural satellite.
Learn how craters are made by dropping different shaped objects from various heights. The interactive experiment accurately replicates crater formation on the Moon. Then watch "Footsteps," a planetarium show all about the Moon, from early lore to Jules Vernes' imaginings to the excitement of the first Moon landing with Apollo 11.
Stay to stargaze with "What's in the Dallas skies tonight?" live presentation and telescope viewing (weather permitting).
