This may be the first time Robyn Hitchcock has been in Dallas since he opened for REM at Reunion Arena in March of 1989. Of that concert, Rhett Miller said, "It was a life-changing experience for me. It was one of the shows that made me want to do music." It was life-changing for me, too. It led me to dump all of my REM cds and begin a 20-year (and counting) quest to obtain every Hitchcock recording (official release or bootleg) I can get my hands on. (I'm sure Peter Buck, who will be backing Hitchcock at the Grenada, would understand.)
