hey tumbles - sorry, just now saw your comment. I don't think it means anything for us, they said they would handle cases on an individual basis (meaning, I assume, cases where bar owners are trying to get patios built...?) The only way we could build a patio is if they gave us rights to the alleyway behind our building. I suppose we could ask....

My brother used to live in Dallas and he once told me that Dallas is officially "dry", but they get around it by calling the bars "private clubs". Could that work with smoking? They use it in Germany to bust the smoking ban there and it's great.
