Arbor Day Celebration with The Killdares
April 25
, 2009
Celebrate Trophy Club's status as Tree City, USA at their annual family festival and outdoor concert. The event has been moved to Trophy Club Park, the Town's premier recreational area with 150 acres of ATV and motorcycle trails, a motocross track, day use picnic areas and a boat ramp. This park sits along Lake Grapevine and offers scenic views, abundant trees and wildlife.
Family Festival
Enjoy the beauty of the outdoors while spending a wonderful afternoon with your family, friends and neighbors. The festival will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and will include bounce houses, slides, carnival games with prizes and much more.
Take part in free concessions, including hot dogs, soda and water, while listening to great music by our entertaining DJ. Cross Timbers Gym cheer and dance teams will perform at 2:30 p.m. and there will be a children's magic show at 3:00 p.m.
Landscapers, nurseries and other tree-related vendors will be on-site, and we will have a special tree-planting ceremony with members of our Tree Board. Don't forget to stop by the Parks and Recreation table to learn about our summer programs, including swim lessons and day camp.
Outdoor Concert
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and attend a 2 hour concert by local Celtic rock band The Killdares. The concert begins at 5:00 p.m. and it is sure to please. Learn more about the band at www.killdares.com. Beer and wine will be available for purchase during the concert.
Event parking is free, and will be available at the park and at several off-site locations with shuttle service running continuously from 2:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
