Bryan Burrough explores the beginnings of America’s obsession with oil by chronicling the lives of the Texas oil industry’s four wealthiest captains, known in their heyday as the “Big Four”: H. L. Hunt, Clint Murchison, Sid Richardson and Roy Cullen.
THE BIG RICH tracks these four icons and their families from the 1920’s through the 1980’s when bitter family feuds, scandals and bankruptcies eroded their fortunes and prominence.
