For generations, the legacy of the cotton industry for African-Americans in the Mississippi Delta has been hardscrabble poverty and virtual illiteracy. This compelling program focuses on the family unit in crisis and the urgent need for education reform through the stories of two remarkable individuals. (90 min.)
