Miró Quartet
February 9
, 2009
The Miró Quartet is increasingly recognized as one of America's brightest and most exciting young chamber groups. Currently serving as Faculty String Quartet at The University of Texas at Austin, the Miró Quartet also enjoys an active international touring schedule. The Miró Quartet is named after the Spanish artist Joan Miró, whose surrealist works, with subject matter drawn from the realm of memory and imaginative fantasy, are some of the most original of the 20th century.
