Law, China Beach, Falcon Crest, and many others) portrays the writer as she declares that a woman must have money and a room of her own to be a writer. She imagines Shakespeare having a talented sister, whose life would have been drastically different from the Bard’s, trying to follow in her brother’s footsteps, but running into the obstacles placed before women at the time. Room is a very personal account of Woolf’s journey, trials, and ultimate triumphs as a woman seeking to make her voice heard in a man’s world.
