This collaborative late night program will explore rulers from ancient Egyptian and Chinese societies, highlight the Crow Collection of Asian Art's special exhibition, Tending the Afterlife: Chinese Tomb Art from the Neolithic Period to the Ming Dynasty. Spend the evening discovering Chinese Emperors, such as Xuanzong from the Tang dynasty and Wan Li from the Ming dynasty. Investigate how Xuanzong's love for polo is reflected in Tang dynasty artwork, and how Wan Li's Imperial tomb is the only one excavated in the People's Republic of China.
Take advantage of Curator's Choice, informal talks with our chief curator Shiyuan Yuan focused on historical Chinese emperors. Other evening events include silk-worm demonstrations, docent-led tours, family arts and crafts and a late night film screening.
FREE. No reservations required.
