UTA Wind Symphony Concert

The UTA Wind Symphony presents the first of its three concerts for Spring, 2009. Featured is one of the most important works for winds, Paul Hindemith's Symphony in B-flat for Concert Band. Written in 1951, the Symphony in B-flat is considered by many to be the most significant work for winds written in the 20th century. The UTA Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Douglas Stotter, is made up of the finest wind and percussion students at the University. The ensemble presents 6 concerts each year, focusing on significant and serious literature for brass, woodwinds and percussion.
