Lecture: Sofia Ponte

Presented by the Division of Art at SMU Meadows School of the Arts, the Visiting Artist Lecture Series provides students with access to eminent artists and critics and promotes a broader cultural dialogue with the contemporary art community. This spring, the Visiting Artist Series brings internationally recognized and artistically diverse artists to Meadows to discuss their work and process for creating art that provokes, inspires and ultimately challenges perceptions. Sofia Ponte's (MIT) installations merge photography, sculpture, video, performance and sound to establish inter-media relations that critically investigate art boundaries and artists participation in contemporary society.
